hot days keep rollin' in
the Summerfest line-ups are "set" and ... i'm sorely disappointed. 10 days, 14 stages, totalling well over 400 artists and I'm mildly interested, INTERESTED in seeing 3 shows. No petty, no moe(although I could get the chance to see the real Ben Folds).
Opening night is Flyleaf, who Jenna has been wanting to see with me.
Tool is Fourth of July; very fitting.
And OAR is coming back for the gazillionth time. I barely remember their last show, but I definitely enjoyed the parts I do.
Other bands that I've seen before at Summerfest that will be making their multipleth appearnce include Collective Soul and Live. I wasn't very impressed with either and because the other stages are lacking, will once again be filled to the max with non-rockers.

My first and hopefully last summer class will commence on Monday morning at 9AM. I'm actually anxious to get this thing rolling. For whatever reason I even picked up my old Mechanics of Materials book up a couple days ago and was going through the chapters for fun. I'm not bored, but I'm not overly worked. I need to keep busy.

I have started to slowly go through my old engineering textbooks. I was reluctant to turn them back in and get a "refund" as I would have lost at least 70% of the face value. But now I'm thinking, 'Does anyone even use their old books?' I mean do guys working the 9-5 come across a simple estimate calculation for a compressor and and be like, 'I better go look up the enthalpy of Propane at 300 degrees C and 10 bars in my old Thermo book.' Isn't this common knowledge that you could look up online?
...
And now I just realized it is, sort of. EES has all of this information for you. Why did I buy these books in the first place? Oh yeah, to pay my professors their salary.

ooh summerfest... i heard john mayer was opening for ben? or wait..is it the other way around?

no matter, thats one show i'd be at in a heart beat.

PS. I met this dude who started sharing stories about his 'goodbye party' from the night before he left for austria for a year.

I then told him about my last night in madison and the bear pong that was played at 4am...and beer bongs shortly after.

He just stared at me confused and why we would do that- i just smiled at the memory.
