The semester begins...
After stripping wire and soldering them to strain gauges for 2.5 hours, I called it a night. I finally arrived home 13 hours after my day started and began to work on the side job I picked up not too long ago. Tomorrow morn I will have to be in the lab again to finish setting up the equipment for tomorrow night's 'experiment'. Today after class our professor finally emailed out the guidelines for this final project/experiment. A formal report and presentation are due on Tuesday morning. The final is Thursday. H's wedding is on Saturday. Packed week for sure, but I'm enjoying it thus far and am getting stoked for the wedding. I still say a pet Iguana would be a sweet wedding present.

-------- NEXT THOUGHT ----------------------

My Dad celebrated his birthday yesterday. Hard to imagine that 20 years ago Grandpa was around the same age. But I can't seem to remember Grandpa being as nimble. ever. I'm guessing it's just time playing with my memories.

-------- NEXT THOUGHT ----------------------

I get my test back tomorrow that I took last week. One person got a one-hundred. Hoping...

UPDATE: BREWERS WIN!!!
CLARIFICATION: My professor was solely in-charge of ordering the material for the final project and it didn't arrive until last night and we couldn't use the lab until today.

Does This Look Infected?
I subbed for my brother's volleyball team last night... for my brother. His foot is broken. He's out 4-6 weeks. Our team won the first two games, the second fairly handily. It was the first time we won a series when I was on their team. Talks have begun to spring up about joining a fall indoor volleyball league, both men's and mixed. I'm excited for both.

After the late night of volleyball and socializing, I headed to the library to cram a few extra topics into my brain before my test this morning. Like the last test, I finished fairly early, like 45 min in. The rest of the class wasn't even on the last problem (although their are only 8 people in the class). I decided, unlike last time, to stick around and re-re-re-look over my test. I then noticed I made a silly mistake on the last problem. Then I noticed I made another one. And finally a third small mistake on the last problem. Hopefully that was all of them.

side note: on the test the professor put something to the nature of: "Using your best engineering judgment, please analyze blah, blah, blah." 5/8 of the class raised their hand and asked the prof for a more clear explanation. I was not one of them and glad I wasn't. It was one of the first times where I went to more classes than 5/8 of the class and understood exactly what the prof was getting at. Although, I still think the sentence/idea is complete bullshit.

La Sexorcisto - Devil Music Vol 2
I posted over 2 months ago that the Brewers were in first place in the National league. 2 months later... BREWERS #1. Love them guys.

Yesterday I received my RWPC(Run/Walk Pub Crawl) T-shirt in the mail. They ran out the day of (June 23) due to the high number of participants. Alf came to town for this epic night. 8 bars, 3.1 miles, and a Polka finish. We all ran. I SPRINTED down state street from The Pub to Paul's Club to order drinks ahead and save our team valuable course time. As I was leaving the Pub(e), the group behind us decided to do the same. I started off with a slow jog, but upon noticing the other group's lead runner picking it up, I picked it up. Then he went faster, then I told myself he wouldn't beat me. I stopped at the entrance to Paul's and looked back. He kept running by. It turns out their group already went to Paul's. He was running all the way to the Dane, which we had already completed. eh.
The race started at 9PM. I don't remember much past 11:15PM. "not" a recurring theme of my life.

Two weeks of Machine Component Design have past. Test tomorrow. I'm feeling fairly confident. I still have no group for the final project.
Or a place to live next year.
They're equally important (or unimportant) in my mind.

Next 6 weeks:
July 4 Celebrating the strategic moves of a Mr Cornwallis
July 6-8 Summerfest in Milwaukee
July 13-15 Paddy's Cabin in N. Minnesota
July 21 Fish Day in Port Washington???
July 24 TEST #2
July 28 Free....!
Aug 2-4 H's Wedding in Woodstock/Crystal Lake
Aug 9-12 SSC in Chicago???
Aug 14 Moving out of the Barn
Aug 17-19 Camping with the fam in Greenbush

Mohr and his circles are calling me.
