summer is here
i've had lots of posts completely written in my head in the last month. I thought they were written on the web ... but no.

I began my running "program" the week of Mifflin and have been keeping steady since. I'm still running about 7 min/mi, but at least I'm not getting worse. Brat Fest/Madison Marathon passed once again with no participation on my part. Really was anticipating the 10k, until all friends dropped out and my practice times were slower than last year. So I figured I'd wait a month or two to ensure that I will best my 43 min 10k last April. I've seen many runners out on Lakeshore. Due to the annual road construction by the hospital, I have also been walking past the UW track everyday and reading the sign that says "UW Running Club, Mondays and Wednesdays 6-8 PM." The itch to join the club is getting stronger.

My hours at my job for the summer have been secured now that a good friend and employee has now found a better job not near campus. I've also decided to take a summer class that will meet everyday at 9AM. Haven't decided whether I should join the Hoofers sailing club, but if this is my last summer in Madison, it must be done.

Last, construction on the entire block of Mifflin to repave the road has commenced... at 7AM from now till eternity(or at least past when I'll leave this house). It'll be a good wake-up call on those Thursday AMs after I decide to finally make an entire GMM and Brats night.

pysch. really last thought of the night: I have successfully missed the departures of both Grace and Javi. Not sure if that means I owe them, or that it's obviously inevitable we will meet again.

They are doing much more than just repaving.
