I finally ran around Lake Monona yesterday. Turned out it wasn't really that far; a mere 12 miles. (I didn't find that link until today.) Next one is Mendota and then the marathon will be upon me.
So far living in the house has been pretty much what I expected, though I've handled it a little better than I used to. I don't think there's been a night without a mini-party on the front porch after 2am since returning from Austin, though they have been tame enough for me to sleep. I'm still getting used to being the sober dude and turning down alcohol. The house SHOULD finally be put together this weekend, which is almost 4 weeks after our move-in date. I still have to finish fixing my bed; the last piece to my room.
I decided to drop my paycheck on a desk. Can I afford it? No. But I really can't afford a cheap one either, so I figured it'd be a better use of my credit to buy something that will last more than 6-12 months.
While doing my finances, I've figured out I haven't bought a single piece of clothing in 10 months now. Not exaggerating. This even includes shoes. My running habit will kill this one in a short time, but it's still pretty empowering.
