i found a $2000 ticket from tokyo to cairo. Problem: I live over 9 hours away from tokyo and the train ticke there will add up to too expensive. I think I'll be calling some airlines up personally in the next couple weeks. It'd also be cool to have a traveling buddy....

run here, pussy
Fly to Singapore and then Egyo-Air it to Cairo. I bet you can find a Kyoto-Singapore flight for deese
Make sure to bring some plum wine, a case of those litre cans of Asahi.
i think there's what some people call an 'ocean' dividing us
why singapore? is egypt a popular destination for singaporians?
Great to here someone else has drank the Great Litre Can.
hmm, I think Singapore is just a hub for Egyo-Air. All of their Asian flights go through there. You could also try flying Kyoto-Dubai, then fly any number of airlines to Cairo.
Ah, Asahi is the shit. You must introduce to the Japanese the contemporary art and mysticism of "Edward Litre Cans."
I got it: Fly direct Osaka to Cairo via Egypt Air (www.egyptair.com.eg). I just checked the map, and they have service there. You cant buy online, find their Japanese number and call them up.
the ticket i found was through JAL(japanese air) that hooked up with egyoair.
